Within the framework of the 10th Baku International Book Fair, the presentation of the book of poems “I fell in love" by the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy, published by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation in Azerbaijani and Turkmen languages, was held.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, president of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova welcomed the guests and noted that the 300th anniversary of the great poet Magtymguly Pyragy is widely celebrated this year by UNESCO in Turkmenistan, which is an integral part of the Turkic world, in other Turkic countries and around the world.
"The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation also expresses its deep respect for the memory of the great poet with this book. Unfortunately, the publication of this book was not seen by the prominent turkologist scientist, translator of the publication Ramiz Asgar. I express my deepest condolences to his family again. One of the main missions of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, which has gained a reputation in the international arena, is the promotion of science and literary creativity of prominent figures of the Turkic world. In this regard, the Foundation has established book series “Outstanding personalities of the Turkic world”, “Literary pearls of the Turkic world”, "Scientific pearls of the Turkic world". Magtymguly Pyragy's book was published in the series “Literary pearls of the Turkic world". I believe that this book, issued in Azerbaijani and Turkmen languages, will contribute to the rapprochement of the Turkic peoples”.  
Noting that poems by Magtymguly Pyragy are the pearl of Turkmen literature, Aktoty Raimkulova highlighted that the poet's creativity occupy a special place in both Turkmen and world literature. At the same time, she said that such events contribute to the recognition and dissemination of literature and cultural heritage.
Speaking at the event Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Gurbanmammet Elyasov spoke about the role of the poet's creativity in Turkmen culture. The ambassador highly appreciated the implementation of the project by the Turkiс Culture and Heritage Foundation to further strengthen literary and cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
Well-known Azerbaijani poet Farid Huseyn, turkologist Firuza Agayeva, who was awarded the Gold Medal of Turkmenistan for her contribution to the development of literary relations between the Azerbaijani and Turkmen peoples, philologist Ismikhan Osmanli made speeches at the presentation ceremony. They noted the importance of researching and promoting the creativity of such masters as Pyragy, as well as the fact that the Foundation plays a bridge role in the development of cultural relations between Turkic states in this area.
The event was attended by deputies, literary critics, journalists, media representatives.
The event not only contributed to the large-scale celebration of the 300th anniversary of the great poet, but also became an important step towards strengthening the spiritual and cultural ties between the Turkic peoples.
